Why book with me

I’m a qualified practitioner working within professional ethical standards. Your safety – emotional, physical, and data‑related – is central to my practice. I offer a grounded, compassionate approach shaped around your needs, with clear boundaries and secure handling of sensitive information.

What happens if the weather is bad

Outdoor sessions usually continue in light rain or changing weather, and many people find this surprisingly grounding. If conditions are unsafe, very uncomfortable, or weather warnings are in place, we can move the session online or reschedule. We’ll always make the decision together with your comfort and safety in mind.

How is safety ensured

I carry out risk assessments for both participants and the venue, and I’m trained as an outdoor first aider. Sessions are designed with accessibility, comfort, and psychological safety in mind.

Why is there a fee for a nature‑based session

Access to nature is always free. The fee reflects the professional guidance, therapeutic structure, preparation, risk assessment, and small‑group facilitation that shape each session. These offerings are carefully held, evidence‑informed experiences designed to support wellbeing in a safe and accessible way.

What should I wear or bring to an outdoor session

Comfortable layers, weather‑appropriate clothing, and shoes suitable for walking. You may want to bring water, a small snack, and any medication you might need. I’ll let you know in advance if anything specific is required.

Do I need to be physically fit to take part

Sessions are accessible for a wide range of mobility levels. During the warmer months, we often sit on the ground as part of the practice, so it’s helpful if you’re able to sit down and stand back up unaided.
If that isn’t comfortable for you, please let me know. I regularly adapt sessions for people with reduced mobility, including using benches or portable seating.

What if I feel self‑conscious outdoors

This is very common. Most people find that any initial awkwardness fades quickly once we settle into the session.

How do I know if outdoor therapy is right for me

If you feel drawn to nature, prefer simple movement, or find indoor rooms uncomfortable, outdoor therapy can be a supportive alternative. If you’re unsure, we can talk it through in the assessment session.

Is this suitable for neurodivergent clients

Yes. Many neurodivergent clients find outdoor sessions grounding, regulating, and less intense than indoor therapy. We can adapt the pace, structure, and sensory environment to your needs.

What if I don’t want to talk much

That’s completely fine. Outdoor therapy allows for silence, sensory awareness, and grounded presence. You choose the pace and depth of the session.

Do sessions run all year round

Yes, with adaptations. We continue in most weather, but if conditions are unsafe or very uncomfortable, we can move online or reschedule.
