Individual Ecotherapy

What this is

Individual Ecotherapy takes place outdoors, where you, I, and the living world share the space. Nature becomes an active part of the therapeutic process — offering grounding, spaciousness, and a sense of connection that many people find deeply supportive.

These sessions create a gentle pause in your week: time to slow down, breathe, and explore what’s happening inside with compassion and without pressure. Working in nature often helps new perspectives emerge and supports a feeling of wholeness.

Who it’s for

This approach may be a good fit if you:

  • want to explore your emotional world in a one‑to‑one setting
  • experience anxiety, low mood, or overwhelm
  • long for deeper connection with yourself, others, or nature
  • feel stuck, unfulfilled, or unsure of your direction
  • would like to feel more grounded or regulated (including ADHD presentations)
  • are curious about a more spacious, embodied way of working therapeutically

Individual Outdoor Counselling

What this is

My style of Individual Outdoor Counselling blends a traditional therapeutic approach with the grounding, restorative qualities of being outdoors. We walk or sit in natural spaces, working together in a way that feels steady, respectful, and attuned to your needs.

Many people find that being outside — away from enclosed rooms and screens — helps them feel more at ease, more connected, and more able to explore what’s happening inside.

Who it’s for

This approach may be a good fit if you:

  • want one‑to‑one counselling in a calm, natural setting
  • experience anxiety, low mood, or overwhelm
  • feel stuck, unfulfilled, or unsure of your direction
  • would like to feel more grounded or regulated (including ADHD presentations)
  • prefer talking while walking or being outdoors
  • find indoor therapy rooms confining
  • want the grounding of nature without the deeper ecotherapy frame

Trauma Therapy

Body‑aware, trauma‑informed support for healing what still lives in the body

What this is

Trauma doesn’t simply live in the past.
It lives in the body — in the places where something once cut into us and the mind had to grow around it. Like a tree that has swallowed a strand of barbed wire, we adapt, we continue, we survive. But the old wound can still tug, ache, or overwhelm when life brushes against it.

My trauma work is grounded in the belief that recovery is possible, and in a deep respect for the human capacity to endure, and heal, even after the most difficult experiences. I follow Judith Herman’s tri‑phasic model: establishing safety, exploring the story of what happened, and supporting reconnection with self, others, and the wider world.

We pay attention to the body’s signals, the nervous system’s patterns, and the emotional echoes of past experiences. Sessions are collaborative and responsive, shaped around what feels manageable for you and what supports your movement towards reconnection and steadiness.

I integrate trauma‑informed approachesbody‑based awareness, and EFT to help regulate overwhelm and soften the intensity of what still feels “alive” inside.

Who it’s for

This approach may be a good fit if you:

  • carry trauma that still feels “alive” in the body
  • experience anxiety, panic, or emotional overwhelm
  • feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward
  • are navigating childhood trauma or relational wounds
  • live with chronic stress, burnout, or long‑term tension
  • want a gentle, nature‑rooted approach to trauma recovery
  • prefer a slower, steadier pace that honours your readiness

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

Gentle, evidence‑informed tapping for emotional regulation and trauma recovery

What this is

EFT is a therapeutic approach that combines talk therapy with light tapping on acupressure points. It helps calm the nervous system, reduce overwhelm, and soften the intensity of difficult memories or emotions.
Many people find it grounding, empowering, and surprisingly accessible.

I integrate EFT into trauma‑informed work to support emotional regulation, reduce distress, and help the body feel safer. It can be used on its own or woven into wider therapeutic sessions.

Who it’s for

EFT may be helpful if you:

  • experience anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm
  • struggle with intrusive thoughts or difficult memories
  • feel “stuck” in certain emotional patterns
  • want a gentle, body‑based way to regulate emotions
  • prefer practical tools you can use between sessions
  • are navigating trauma responses or phobias

How it works

In sessions, we talk through what feels difficult while using light tapping on specific acupressure points. This helps reduce distress, calm the body, and support emotional regulation.
EFT can be used as a standalone approach or integrated into trauma therapy. You’ll learn simple techniques you can use outside sessions to support yourself day‑to‑day.
